Local 150 Endorses Eileen O’Neill Burke for Cook County State’s Attorney
Chicago, IL – Today, the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 150 endorsed Justice Eileen O’Neill Burke for Cook County State’s Attorney, building upon recent campaign momentum.
“As the daughter of a labor leader, Eileen O’Neill Burke understands the issues working families face, and Local 150 is proud to join so many other union allies in support. With Eileen’s thirty years of experience in the courtroom as a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, and judge, the choice for Cook County State’s Attorney could not be more clear,” said James M. Sweeney, President-Business Manager, IUOE Local 150.
The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150 is a labor union representing nearly 23,000 working men and women in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. The union represents workers in various industries, including construction, construction material development, public works, concrete pumping, steel mill service, slag processing and more.
